Devlog #9 - Graphic Update

Hey guys,

Two weeks since my last devlog and I just keep forgetting what I just did ! When you make a game on your own,  you have to think about so much things at the same time, I just keep having a different job each day :

I shared my build, did multiple playtests, collected bugs & feedbacks, coded new features, made new props, communicate on social medias, did tax interviews to get on steam, started a Twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/tjikko_dev)... And I did a list of what I still need to do : my winter is full of work :D

The nice part of it, that I keep telling me, is that the game is "too made" to be abandoned : players progress in the game naturally, they like the mood in it and they want to see more of it in the end. And I am so lucky to have a musician friend, Philippe Reinhart, whose music matches perfectly with the mood of the game. (check is work on https://soundcloud.com/pipolaye)

Back to the game, what is the conclusion of these 2 weeks ?

On the Design side, we're good (the puzzles work, and the player is never stuck). Gameplay side, we're okay (camera is a bit slippery, character movement may be awkward sometimes). Communication side, working well (the different account are active)

But on the Art side, there's a lot of work to do. My environments are practical but they lack of depth. I need story telling and it needs lighting, props, camera sequence and animation
