Devlog #4 - July Build


Hey guys,

For the end of July, I wanted to have the dungeon as fully playable as possible.

I finished the level design and integration of the last floors, but also debug some features (like the pushing crates). I also manage to add some nice to have feature (hint system, camera smooth, cable cars).

The most important thing is my first playtests with friends. Thanks to them, I was able to identity new bugs but also how the game is flowing . And I am quite satisfied by their feedbacks : they liked the global mood, they wanted more of it, but they also  struggled a lot with the puzzles. So I while have to find a way to ease them without losing their interest.

So for the video, today I am sharing the run of the dungeon, recorded on a build (and there is still some bugs...)

When I look at my planning, it's funny to see how things never turned out as we expect, even if you plan as much as you can. One side of my brain is telling me I am late, and the other one is proud of what I accomplished. Holidays will feels good :D
